Goal-Based Guarantee
On Day 1, we define one measurable goal together. If that goal is not hit, you get your money back. See Guarantee Details.
CORE is for dogs starting with no structured foundation, or owners building from scratch. PLUS is for dogs who need more work than CORE provides, or owners who want more precision and consistency. ELITE is the highest tier, with the most time, the most intensive work, and the most advanced goals. The free assessment will tell you directly which tier fits.
Your dog lives in our trainer's home as part of the household, not kenneled between sessions. Every day includes training sessions, structured exercise, leash work, and real-life household practice. Socialization with the trainer's own dogs is included when safe and appropriate.
Yes. Photos, videos, and report cards are built into every program. You will know how your dog is progressing without having to ask.
Yes. Please bring enough of your dog's regular food for the full duration. Switching food mid-stay can cause digestive issues that interfere with training.
We go over your dog's full history: what's been tried, what has worked, and your goals for the stay. You'll provide food, medications, vet information, and any special care instructions. A thorough intake is what sets the program up to succeed.
Standard Board & Train is designed for dogs without significant safety concerns. Dogs with bite history, serious aggression, or severe reactivity belong in the Reactive Dog Intensive. The free assessment will clarify which path fits if you're unsure.
Pickup is a structured handoff, not just a key exchange. We walk you through every skill your dog learned and how to maintain it. Your included follow-up private lesson is where we make sure those skills transfer to your home and daily life.
Before your dog's stay begins, we define one clear, measurable goal together. If that goal isn't achieved through the program, you receive your money back. Full details are on the guarantee page.

Serious leash reactivity (barking, lunging, or struggling to recover)
Human-directed reactions or aggression
Dog-directed reactions or aggression
Resource guarding with escalation history
Bite history, whether minor or more serious

- Approximately 4–6 weeks of follow-up Private Lessons for handler coaching
- Trigger work, threshold management, and safety planning throughout
- Muzzle conditioning introduced when appropriate
- Structured management plans designed around the dog's real life
- Every case assessed individually, with no fixed template
Behavior modification is not a cure, because your dog is not broken. We believe there is no such thing as bad doggos. Serious behavior has a reason, and lasting change requires understanding the dog in front of us. What we work toward is meaningful progress, safer daily life, clearer communication, and a long-term management plan you can actually live with.
NOTE: Safety protocols are established from day one, and we do not move forward with any training plan unless the owner understands it, feels comfortable with it, and gives clear approval.
Yes. These are the cases our trainer at Good Doggos is most passionate about. At Good Doggos, we do not believe in "bad dogs." Every bite-history case begins with a mandatory intake evaluation so we can assess severity, context, and history, then build the safest and clearest plan forward from day one.
This program includes a residential Board & Train phase, but it is not a standard obedience program. Standard Board & Train focuses on obedience, manners, and structure. The Reactive Dog Intensive focuses on behavior modification, safety planning, trigger work, threshold management, and handler coaching.
Yes. This is not a "drop off and get a fixed dog back" program. The Board & Train phase gives your dog a strong foundation, but the follow-up Private Lessons are where you learn how to handle your dog safely, read early warning signs, manage stressful situations, and continue the work at home.
This is case-dependent. Some dogs may need muzzle conditioning, specific leash handling, home management rules, or other safety steps. These are not punishments or labels. They are tools that help keep everyone safer while your dog learns.
While our trainer uses a balanced training approach, we do not move forward with any training method, tool, or protocol that the owner is not comfortable with. Your dog's plan is built collaboratively, with your consent, your dog's needs, and everyone's safety in mind.
Any required safety steps will be explained clearly during the evaluation before training begins.
Your dog is not broken, so we do not look at this work through the lens of a "cure." We believe there are no bad dogs, and serious behavior always has a reason. Our job is to help you understand what is driving the behavior, learn your dog's cues and thresholds, and build safer patterns through clearer handling, better communication, and more informed decisions. Not all dogs want playdates. Not all dogs are cuddle bugs. That is okay. We are not here to change your dog's personality. We are here to change behavior and to help you build a safer, happier, more fulfilling life with the dog you love.
